In solidarity with the Jewish communities of Gaza and Northern Samaria, a parade of over 1,000 cars will travel from the Brighton Beach area of Brooklyn to Manhattan on Sunday, August 14 at 11:00 a.m. Cars will be meeting at Surf Ave. and Ocean Parkway (by Seaside Park) at 10:30 a.m.

Festooned with the color orange and with placards reading “Retreat from Gaza Rewards Terror” and “Gaza Surrender Endangers US Security”, the cars will pass by the United Nations building and the Israeli consulate on its way to meeting up with Prayer Vigils planned as part of the Worldwide Solidarity Events for the land of Israel.

The date of the event has special significance, being scheduled on the saddest day in the Jewish calendar, Tisha B’Av. This is the date of the destruction of the first two Temples in Jerusalem, and falls on the eve of Sharon’s plan to expel Jews from their homes and destroy their communities, G-d forbid.
